Another day another way to wear my Yves t-shirt from my first Giveaway (which you can still enter HERE) this time I styled it with my new white pencil skirt. Now a pencil skirt has always one of my favorite skirts because of the flattering shape but I never owned one in all white before. Well maybe my current obsession with whites has something to do with it and off course the easy way it can be combined with almost any thing on top. Lot’s of possible ways to wear this skirt already popping up in my head now all I need are some long summer nights.

Last week I received these beautiful Platinum and Rose gold bracelets from Speechless Bracelets and oh my have they been popular. Not only have I been wearing them ever since their arrival, they also caught everyones attention. Seems like every woman I bumt into want to have one (or two, or three) of her own. Personally I also want to collect them all, they inspire me and remind me of the important things in life, combining the beauty of a golden bangle with inspiring quotes.

After I used this dress for my first tv show (in case you missed it, see it HERE) we all kinda fell in love with it. And I know why, it’s perfect for summer, from day till night, with flats or with heels, anything goes.

Last week, when we filmed the first episode of my new Fashion Trends show for our local station (in case you missed it, watch it HERE) we also shot some outfit photo’s. Since my girl Frederique was with me all day to help me out with the show, which she also modeled for, I thought she should join in on this outfit shoot. We always have the best of fun and although we have a different style we love to shop together and also tend to buy the same things. I guess our love for ZARA and designers also has something to do with it. My fashion partner in crime is what I call her, like my mother and big sister she’s one of the woman in my life who has a influence on my style. And even when it has nothing to do with fashion I can count on her, now thats what friends are for.

Last Friday we filmed the first episode in a series of Fashion trends specials for our local news network Omroep Walraven. After the interview we did back in March (see it here) we came to agree to make a trend special every quarter of the year about all the latest fashion trends. Super cool off course and super fun to make. Its also my first (little) step towards television so it was also very interesting and a great learningschool for me.

So here’s the making of of the first episode, the summer edition. I invited 5 lovely ladies and dressed them in the (in my opinion) 5 latest and most fun trends for this summer. First we filmed all the models from head to toe with me making sure everything was in place, later on we sat down and discussed the trends I choose. We talked about flower prints, graphic prints in black and white, Neons, Ibiza Chic, Mint, printed denim, Aztec prints and many more. Fashion trends Summer 2013

The first episode of Trends by Hanneke Verstegen for Omroep Walraven.

Since I’ve started wearing black in summer I really got the hang of it and even tough I already bought and wore these pieces in winter time they are very suitable for a summer night out. Only add some summer summer sandals and bare legs and voila. These lovely sandals that are amongst my collection for several years now but are still very cool. They were a bit pricy when I bought them but they have proven them selfs over the years, and now, especially with the tassels, they’re also back on trend.

Ever since I bought these heels at Zara they have been amongst my summer favorites. But sometimes wearing an item so many times can get you bored. And so while I was browsing my English Vogue I saw an ad of Jimmy Choo with the most amazing tasseled heels ever. Somehow they reminded me of my Zara printed heels and make me realize I could easily get the same effect by adding some satin tassels. After browsing the internet I found these satin ones and voila, the result. The same shoe, a new way to wear them.
