STARS

‘Life’s a party, but it’s your job to hang out the bunting! So true if you ask me. And the bunting? Just hanging in my closet! I believe every day is a party and nothing more fun than getting ready to party. Most of the time I like that evermore than the party itself. Or just wear a beautiful dress on any given day, just because I can. Because, we live in a free country were woman can wear whatever they want. Even a party dress in the middle of the day, combined with a sweater and a denim jacket. I love it! | Dress RECLAIMED VINTAGE […]

CAPETOWN

If you are going to invest in just 1 thing this coming season then let it be a cape. Pregnant or not, this is the most practical cover-up ever. Not to mention so stylish and instand chic. It’s like the Parisienne of cover-ups, it’s got that Je ne say qua” written all over it. I scored mine already 2 winters ago and still I love to wear it as much as I can. These sunny days in fall with only a sweater under neath and in winter time combined with a leather jacket for extra warmth. Whenever you find the perfect one, don’t hasitate but grap it while you still can! . | Cape ZARA | Sweater COS | Leggings H&M | Shoes MANGO | Shopper Louis Vuitton | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR | .

BLUE BLACK

This season being comfortable and stylish can be so easy. I just love al the sportswear inspired clothing that is in stores now. Off course it’s all about how you wear it, dressed up or dressed down. I’m wearing my trackpants with heels and a pinstripe coat when I want to be dressed up. When I want to be more dressed down I combine them with my new Kenzo sneakers and a simple sweater. Both perfect options for the upcoming winter season. . | Coat MANGO | Top H&M | Pants ZARA | Heels ALEXANDER WANG | Bag and Sunnies CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR | .

BLACKSTREET

The past few weeks have been like an extensive part of summer, the perfect opportunity to wear my favorite winter pieces in a different way than I would in actual winter time. While following the latest fashion trends for the upcoming season I noticed that the seventies are still a popular eara among my favorite designers. Well, and what’s more seventies than miniskirts and overknee boots. I love them in all black, giving them some extra edge and giving them a real modern feel. I mostly wear them with some other classics, like my boyfriends v-neck sweater and my new favorite bag from Diane Von Furstenberg. This bag has the perfect size to fit all of my daily needs combined with the perfect look to brighten up my all black looks. For sure a combination that I will wear all lot this coming winter. . | Sweater ZARA Men | Skirt MANGO | Boots NELLY | Bag DVF | Sunnies PRADA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR | .

SNEAKERS

This dress was the first piece of maternity wear I bought. Traditional maternity wear never excited me but thanks to Topshop and Asos that problem is fully covered. I love how their collections are mostly inspired by young and trendy women, something I can relate to. I also immediately bought myself a pair super comfy sneakers, the original Nike air max that I also owned about twenty years ago (and yes, that makes me feel really old). Ever since I became a heels-only girl I totally forgot how comfortable they can be. And now that I’m sort of forced to wear them I really love all this comfortable stuff and I get the feeling I’m not going to give it up any more.   | Dress TOPSHOP | Sneakers NIKE | Bag MANGO | Sunnies PRADA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

ISLAND COLORS

For years now a LWD is always coming with me on my summer holidays. It’s the perfect blanc canvas that works with all of the accessories and shoes that I bring with me. I wear it dressed down during the day (like here in Rome) and dressed up during the evening but there is no big difference. I love to combine it with colorful accessories and shoes, tanned skin and holiday glow will do the rest.   | Dress MANGO | Heels ZARA | Clutch H&M | Sunnies + Bracelet  CHANEL | Earrings KENNET JAY LANE | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

EARLY SPRING

Looks like we having a major early spring this year. The temperatures are rising to a point it’s actually pleasant again to wear heels without socks. Not that that bothers me but it’s a nice side effect. An other side effect of spring is that I always feel the need to lighten up my hair and so that’s exactly what I did last Friday. Nothing feels like spring than some fresh light colors. Yesterday I matched my clothes to my new hair and went for an all soft color palette of camel, white and soft grey. Now spring definitely feels near.   | Camel Coat ZARA | Sweater ZARA | Jeans MANGO | Heels ZARA | Bag H&M | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

DRESSCOAT

Besides all the big puffy coats that I have been comfortably wearing non-stop this winter I wanted something more dressy. Something more polished and fitted. Well, be carefull what you wish for, because within days I spotted this coat at Zara. Because of the voilant it’s almost more like a dress than a coat, something that definitely sets it appart from all my other coats. The only thing I did not like about it was the original belt that came along with it. So I swapped it with a belt of my own and voila, the perfect dresscoat. | Coat ZARA | Pants H&M | Heels MANGO | Clutch ZARA | Necklace PIECES | Watch ASOS | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

ON TOP

I always love to try new combinations, especially in the comfort of my own dressing room,  one of my favorites things to do on a rainy Sunday. So when I saw this picture popping up online during Paris fashion week I immediately saved it in my style inspiration folder. Off course I forgot all about it until I saw this skirt. A look like this depends very strongly on the perfect skirt and somehow I felt this one was made for it. Now you can decide for yourself weather you like it or not but sometimes I just love to push my boundaries and just have a “Carrie” moment if you know what I mean. | Top COS | Skirt H&M | Jeans ONLY | Heels Mango | Scarf Louis Vuitton | Shoulderbag ZARA | Ring YSL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

MADE FOR WALKING

Our sunday in Paris was well spend, after a late breakfast we were of to explore an area we’ve never been to before, the Quartier Latin.  Based in the 5th and  6th arrondissement it is situated on the left bank of the Seine, therefore, in my oppinion it’s much more quiet and less crowded (read touristic) then the rest of Paris. Especially on a sunday this is were you can spot the real Parisians and blend in a little, or just try to. We visited the impressive Pantheon, walked around the beautiful Jardin des Plantes, had a late lunch at the Mosquée de Paris and walked around some more. Another perfect day in Paris. To end this perfect day we had dinner with our lovely Parisian family that always make me want to spend every weekend in Paris. But after all that walking a girl needs some steady heels to keep her on her feet. I was so happy I brought these booties with me for this trip. Not only do I think the are very cool and a bit more edgy the what I normally wear, they are also made for walking. High and comfortale, that’w what I want, just like Paris. […]

SO PINK

One of the best parts of blogging for me is that it’s challenges me to be creative in many ways. I need to be creative with my own wardrobe but also in my own city. Not born and raised in this city makes me unaware of of the beautiful places it holds and like exploring my own closet for new outfits to wear, I also explore my city for new places to shoot. After a week of doing absolutely nothing  I’m full of creativity again. I also rediscovered this pink skirt, I have it for many years now but somehow I bought it one size to big, so every time I try it on I take it right of. Today I decided to try it again only to wear it with a belt instead,  I also added a simple blouse and barely there heels. Sometimes it can be so simple, you have to take the time to see it.   | Shirt H&M | Skirt ZARA | Heels Alexander Wang | Clutch Mango | Bracelets Mango, H&M | Ring YSL | Sunnies H&M | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

PYRAMID

Last week I spotted this black and white pyramid dress on one of my favorite bloggers of late, The Gary Pepper Girl. It looked kinda of expensive but when I saw the link to one of my favorite sites, Asos, I got really exited and immediately ordered one. A few days later it already landed at my doorstep and this weekend I took it for a spin. Perfect dress for a perfect summer day.   | Dress Asos | Heels Dune via Asos | Belt Zara | Necklace Mango | Clutch Bershka | Watch Michael Kors | Ring H&M | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

PARIS AT NIGHT

Paris at night is even more beautiful then during the day. Especially when the sun is coloring the sky pink and giving the city that special glow. The perfect time to hit the city for dinner and drinks. On our first and this time only night in Paris I decided to wear what I planned anyway. OK, I added a faux leather jacket for some extra warmth but I did bared my legs and wore sandals. Black, a Breton stripe and some Chanel, the perfect Parisian combination.   | Jacket Zara | Skirt Mango | Sweater H&M | Heels Zara | Bag Chanel | Bracelet Mango | Rings Piedras Amsterdam and Dyrberg/Kern | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |
