THE BLACK BLAZER

Ever in search of the perfect black blazer I stumbled upon this one at Zara. Almost matching all off my requirements and helped by the fact that my old one really needs a stand in every now and then, I decided to purchase this one. Only missing a button and matching hole at the front closure, which is something that can be fixed, if I ever wanted to. Worn with a white t-shirt and black skinny’s always a winner. | Blazer ZARA | Tshirt ZARA | Pants TOPSHOP | Heels H&M | Clutch HEMA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

STUDIO LINE

Since a season or 2 Zara is selling a collection called Studio. And since last year it has it’s own category on the webshop which is now the first category I check out after New In. I think everyone of you knows my preference for Zara and this Studio line only made it worse haha. My latest score is this perfect LBD, ideal of both summer and winter and perfect for the in-between weather like this early spring. I’m always a big fan of 3/4 sleeves, a little split never hurts and somehow I prefer a round neckline. And yep, this dress has all of that, the touch of blue compliment it all off. So when it comes to Zara from now, remember to check out their Studio line. . | Jacket ZARA | Dress ZARA STUDIO | Heels ZARA | Bag &OTHERSTORIES | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

BLUE SKIES

All good things come to end and so did my week off in the snow. On the last day there was nothing but blue skies and sunshine, such an gorgeous contrast with the white landscape. Just like this jacket is. This baby blue number is the perfect transseasonal piece. Warm enough for the cold mornings we are still have but in a shade that’s already a link to summer. Worn with thights and my furry Fendi heels all winter appropriate but also ready for jeans and sandals. I’m ready to be home again. | Jacket ZARA | Dress ASOS | Thights WOLFORD | Heels FENDI | Sunnies CHANEL | . . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

SCUBA & SNOW

So while I’m back home again I still have some photo’s I would like to share with you from my recent holiday. I took lots of time to relax and neglected my blog a bit to really get the rest I was longing for for a while. Although I enjoyed every minute of it I’m also always very happy to be home again and get back to work. And what a warm welcome it was, I mean literally, from the snow we jumped right into spring with temperatures of 20 degrees. But for now, back to last week, were the weather was also much warmer then normal at this time of year. Although I liked the fact that it was so warm I could easily do without a coat I was also a bit sad that lots of the snow was already gone. Normally the landscape is all white but now a lot of green was already showing. Luckily the sun made up for a lot of it and while out for our daily walk I made the most out my scuba sweater. It’s so soft and unbelievably warm that it went perfectly with my faux leather pants that I […]

POINT OF VIEW

Is it weird to wear open toe or sandals in February? From my point of view not but some consider it not done. Aren’t you cold or don’t you have cold feet is a question a get a lot. Usually I’m not and when I am I do wear boots or socks. Even tough I think there’s still a huge difference between wearing sandals or pumps. Whenever shoes are closed I have less problem wearing them in February then a open toe or sandals. This year is different though, these days temperatures are rising till 15 degrees, pretty comfortable if you ask me. Although I usually draw the line at 20 degrees this year I could wait any longer. I just love to wear sandals, not for comfort but just because I love the look. The things we do for fashion, right.   | Jacket H&M | Baggy leather pants ZARA | heels ZARA | Scarf Vintage CHANEL | Clutch H&M | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

EARLY SPRING

Looks like we having a major early spring this year. The temperatures are rising to a point it’s actually pleasant again to wear heels without socks. Not that that bothers me but it’s a nice side effect. An other side effect of spring is that I always feel the need to lighten up my hair and so that’s exactly what I did last Friday. Nothing feels like spring than some fresh light colors. Yesterday I matched my clothes to my new hair and went for an all soft color palette of camel, white and soft grey. Now spring definitely feels near.   | Camel Coat ZARA | Sweater ZARA | Jeans MANGO | Heels ZARA | Bag H&M | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

TOP WHITE

Black and white always work, no question about that, but from a distance  it can get a bit boring sometimes. To keep an black and white look interesting I always love to play with structure and materials. I love how the softness of this sweatshirt contrast with the rigid part of the embroidery. The sweater in whole is also a contrast to the coolness of the leather pants, in turn the leather pants give a good contrast to the cuddly ponyhair booties. Simple yet interesting when looking closer. Nothing boring about that right. THE ANCHOR

Let’s say that I have a “thing” for elbow patches. I also have a “thing” for stripes, and many more now that we’ve come to mind, but lets start with the patches. I love simple sweaters, they match with anything so anytime I see one that’s matches my criteria I buy them. Now a closet full of round neck sweaters is so boring so maybe that’s were my fascination for elbow patches started. And while these anchor’s are not exactly patches they are placed at the right spot and just that one special detail detail that sets this sweater apart from all the other sweaters I have. Including all the striped ones I own. | Jacket ZARA | Sweater ASOS | Pants ZARA | Heels ZARA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

BLACK, BLUE & GOLD

Sometimes your’e so happy with a new purchase but later on you feel even more happy about it. Well that’s exactly the case with these boots. I loved them since they first arrived but now they have proven to be super comfortable and giving a luxury touch to any outfit. After not wearing  boots for a long time these ones surly made me loving boots again. This time I combined them with a A-line skirt, a cable sweater and the jacket I can’t do without. Succes guaranteed. | Jacket H&M | Sweater ZARA | Skirt ASOS | Boots NELLY | Bag CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

I GOT IT COVERED

Wearing double jackets is the way to go these days. It’s perfect for this strange winter/fall weather we have to endure this February. Kinda crazy thinking that this time last year the weather was all snow and freezing temperatures. Luckily the weather gods decided to be kind this year, almost just a kind as the fashion gods. They were for sure on my side when I scored my latest shoe obsession, these furry Fendi’s. I love how they perfectly balance this look, from ripped jeans to dressy coat, all glued together like it was meant to be. | Jacket ZARA | Blazer H&M | Sweater ZARA | Jeans ZARA | Heels FENDI | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

ALL THAT WANG

This Wang dress is one of the best purchases I did last year. Same for this jacket and heels form Zara, their both so comfortable that combine them with almost anything in my wardrobe, from dresses to jeans. Experiences like these made me realize that I should buy less and invest more. In the end, you can only spend your money once and you better spend it wise. Now let’s hope this will be a very successful project.   | Jacket ZARA | Dress ALEXANDER WANG | Bag CHANEL | Heels ZARA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

DRESSCOAT

Besides all the big puffy coats that I have been comfortably wearing non-stop this winter I wanted something more dressy. Something more polished and fitted. Well, be carefull what you wish for, because within days I spotted this coat at Zara. Because of the voilant it’s almost more like a dress than a coat, something that definitely sets it appart from all my other coats. The only thing I did not like about it was the original belt that came along with it. So I swapped it with a belt of my own and voila, the perfect dresscoat. | Coat ZARA | Pants H&M | Heels MANGO | Clutch ZARA | Necklace PIECES | Watch ASOS | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

OKB

Over knee boots, or OKB’s,  can be a tricky item but  I have always loved them. None the less, you don’t want to end up looking like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. One of the reason I always style mine in a classic way. Preferably with a dress, sometimes with skinny jeans a la Kate Moss. She definitely know how style hers, but then again, she looks good in anything right.  Back to my outfit and these boots. I first spotted them in last month’s Glamour magazine and fell in love immediately. Like so many things seen in magazines I always find them hard to track down and when I do finally find them the usually are; 1 Overpriced, 2 Don’t look as good in real life, 3 not my cup of tea after all. Well I’m sure you can guess this was not the question with these babies. I think we are going to walk many miles together, comfortable and chic, just what I needed. | Dress Zara | Boots NLY | Bag and Sunnies CHANEL | Jewelry Christian Dior |   | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

WHITE

Last Friday it totally hit me, it’s actually 26 degrees warmer now than this time last year. What a difference, but style wise I’m liking it all the way. I even dared to pull out my white jeans, only this time worn with a black coat, more winter appropriate. But then again, this is so a first for me. I never ever worn a white jeans in January before. Now I can only think, why not?? It find it very stylish and sophisticated and my style icons are all doing it for year’s. Never to late to try something new I believe, sometimes you just have to do it. | Coat ZARA | Jeans ZARA | Sweater COS | Bag PRADA | Heels ZARA | Sunnies Stella McCartney | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

BORROWED

I was always a fan of borrowing from the boys but after I started wearing his clothes more regulary this season it seems like I can’t get enough anymore. More and more I find pieces that, when I’m being honest, I don’t want to give back anymore. Like his sweater, shirt and my latest discovery, this jacket. All current favorites of mine. It all misfits me perfectly, just like the Parisian style that I love so much. | Jacket ZARA men | Sweater Iris&Ink | Jeans ZARA | Heels ZARA | Clutch ZARA | Sunnies CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

NEW BEGINNINGS

Looks like 2014 is really going to be an amazing year. The weather has never been so soft and I’m really enjoying it. I also really love cold and snow but only for a week or two. These days I can still wear my heels without socks and I do not have to hide myself under ten layers of clothes. And with the sun also shining the start of the year couldn’t be better. First on my agenda for this year, stylewise, was this scarf as a shoulderstrap thing. I saw it in a magazine not to long ago (also posted it on my Instagram) and it immediately inspired me to do this with my own vintage Kelly look-a-like. I think it looks really smart and creative, and not only is it very cool it’s also very practical. . | Sweater ZARA | Shirt ZARA | Jeans ONLY | Heels TOPSHOP | Bag Vintage with CHANEL Scarf | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

AT HOME

Yes, sure, the upcoming holiday’s are all about dressing up for me but what I almost never show is that I’m also a big fan of home and sportswear. When I come home I always immediately take off all my jewelry, wrap my hair in a bun and dress down. This usually means I’m wearing one of my many sweatpants and comfy sweaters. Off course, as the fashion girl I am, I always make sure I still look presentable. Washed out, sloppy or old pants and sweater are a absolute no go. So as a result I’m always on the hunt for the perfect suit. The last couple of years I have gathered a few favorite brands, my go to brands are DAZ (also great for sportswear), Rituals (love everything this brand makes) and off course my ever favorite H&M. But back to the holiday’s. The minute I spotted this blue suit at my (yawn) other ever favorite store (yep Zara)( you can yawn again if you please) I immediately saw my self wearing it at Christmas. Not all day of course and only at home. I saw myself being all comfortable yet stylish unwrapping all my gifts under the […]

ON TOP

I always love to try new combinations, especially in the comfort of my own dressing room,  one of my favorites things to do on a rainy Sunday. So when I saw this picture popping up online during Paris fashion week I immediately saved it in my style inspiration folder. Off course I forgot all about it until I saw this skirt. A look like this depends very strongly on the perfect skirt and somehow I felt this one was made for it. Now you can decide for yourself weather you like it or not but sometimes I just love to push my boundaries and just have a “Carrie” moment if you know what I mean. | Top COS | Skirt H&M | Jeans ONLY | Heels Mango | Scarf Louis Vuitton | Shoulderbag ZARA | Ring YSL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

WAISTED

When I stumbled up on these light grey heels I immediately fell for them. This pointy shoe with it’s soft grey color is  perfect for when I want to give my black heels a rest. And if they manage to survive the winter they will also match perfectly to my spring and summer wardrobe. For now, the weather is still warm enough to wear them bare footed. Perfect with this high waisted pants that I also couldn’t resist. Combined with a simple black top, my BFF (best fake fur haha) and a cute embellished bag I’m feeling all Marlene Dietrich. | Fur Stola H&M | Top COS | Trousers ZARA | Heels ZARA | Bag ASOS | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

BLACK

There is absolutely nothing that I can say about black that I haven’t said before. It is, and always will be, my favorite non color. And after sort of deciding to buy more black (yep, more not less) I feel like I have more choice in what to wear. Somehow I just feel a lot more secure when wearing black, in winter time that is, and it’s just the perfect base to build an outfit from. Like a little magic touch, maybe that’s why they call it black magic. | Sweater H&M | Pants ZARA | Scarf Louis Vuitton | Heels Dune | Clutch ZARA | Bracelet CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

PLEATED

The perfect party is not complete without the perfect dress. That’s one of the reasons I always start the hunt for a perfect outfit as early as possible. Off course I also love the hunt it self, especially when you succeed, and you find that once piece you have been searching for. It can also be one hell of a stressful event I experienced so myself. After carefully sourcing the web and spitted trough all of my favorite stores I finally stumbled upon the perfect party dress for my 31th birthday. I ordered it 7 days before the date I actually needed it, well in time you would think. Well, think again. I ordered it on a Friday and received a message on Saturday it was already on it’s way, so far so good. I was literally jumping for joy when I received a text message on Tuesday that it would be delivered that day. Well that attempt failed cause the postman showed up at the fifthteen minutes no one was home that day. Agrrrrrrr, but he, a new attempt was planned for the next day so no worries. Well, more worries was yet to come when my parcel got […]

BRUSSELS

So last weekend it was time for our sort of annual  girls weekend spend in Brussels. And this time we decided to also pre-celebrate my 31st brirthday, as you can image we had loads of fun. After visiting Brussels a few times now I’m starting to know my way around the city a little bit, as far as the nightlife that is, because visiting musea is never on the menu with us girls. After we arrived late friday night we stayed in and enjoyed ourselfs with wine and comfort food. My girls surprised me with pink champagne and a lovely gift, the perfect weekend kick-off. After a late night/early morning we started our saturday at lunchtime, enjoying a delicious lunch at Lola. And after our french lunch we hit the streets for some shopping and visited some of the many chocolateries. At night we dined at one of Brussels most gorgeous restaurants Cospaia. After dinner we were surprised with champagne and fireworks in the coctailbar. We ended the night at club Spirito Martini, were we booked a VIP table to spend the rest of the night instyle. Here we were also provided with champagne and fireworks (bottle nr 4 in […]

HIS

There are a few items that I love to borrow from my boyfriends closet. One of them is this white shirt, slightly oversized for me but oh so cool and comfortable to wear to wear. I also love to borrow his scarf, I’m wearing it right now, and off course his sweaters. And should I not forget the boyfriend jeans, also one piece I was borrowing long before they became a style of there own. Borrowing from the boys is just timeless, especially when you make it your own.   | Sweater COS | Men’s shirt ZARA Men | Jeans TOPSHOP | Bag CHANEL | Heels ZARA | Scarf COS | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

UNIFORM

If I was to choose just 1 day outfit to wear the entire season it would be this look. I can honestly say that these are the most worn items in my closet. A smoking blazer, black skinny’s, a fine knitted sweater and ankle boots. In this outfit I can go to my work, visit clients, work from home, go out shopping or even hang out with friends. It’s truly my uniform. It’s comfortable yet dressed up, but yet not to dressed up (at least I think so) it’s safe and I feel good in it. That’s always the most important thing for me I guess, my look has to make me feel secure. If something does not give me confidence than I will not wear it.  In my opinion dressing is about boosting confidence, if you look good then you feel good. Then, and only then, it can become an uniform.   | Jacket H&M | Sweater H&M | Trousers COS | Booties ZARA |

STOLA

I think this faux fur stola is one of the most cool accessories I found so far this season. It’s so easy to combine with any type of outfit, I love it combined with a dress (see HERE) but also dressed down with a pair of comfy jeans. It’s so easy to slip on that I can also wear it over a leather jacket when the temperature really drops. For now, with the soft fall weather I love the contrast of wearing a faux fur and lacy sandals. OTHER STORIES

The last time I visited Paris I steped into a &OtherStories store for the first time. Already being a fan of H&M and COS, &OtherStories is now one of my favorites to. The clothes and accessories they sell are a lot like the minimalistic style from COS, but in another way, more elaborated. Like these pants, on first sight it’s a normal 5 pocket skinny jean, but when you look closer you see the insert at the inner leg. Classic with a twist is just the way I like it, hope there are many more Stories to come. For now the easiest way is to shop online: www.stories.com I also pulled out my cape again. OUT OF THE BLUE

Last Saturday we attended the official opening of a new concept store Out of the Blue. The store is located at the most inspiring area’s of The Netherlands, Strijp S. This former industrial area is slowly being transformed into the perfect place to work, live, shop and meet friends for drinks or dinner. The environment is so different from our little historic city that this was the perfect place to make some outfit photo’s. Although Saturday was a pretty good day concerning the weather, it’s still getting colder every day. To make the adjustment a little bit easy I bought myself another winter coat. And yes, this one is also blue again and I’m already very happy with it. It may be blue also, is so very different from the other one. I really love the 3/4 sleeves, the boyish fit, the hairy wool.  I’m feeling many more blue and black combination are ready to made. . | Jacket H&M | Dress ZARA | Heels ZARA | Clutch ZARA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |TUMBLR |
