MELLOW YELLOW

Yellow. I used to hate this this color so much, and only because my mom said it sooted me. Much rather I wore pink, like the person I most looked up to, my big sister. These days, yellow is one of my favorite colors and even my man, kid and house get their shair. Luckily not reluctantly. Mother are always right, in the end…….     | Coat ZARA | Top COS | Pants COS | Heels MANGO | Bag CHANEL |

JUST ONE

Trend come and go and after many years of experimenting I feel like I’m finally getting closer to my ideal wardrobe. Mainly because the last few years I shop by the Pareto principle, also known as the 80–20 rule. This means that 20% of what I’m buying is trendy or a real eye-catcher and 80% is timeless and of good quality. I also realized that 80% of the time I’m only wearing 20% of my wardrobe. I can go on forever because actually you can apply the 20/80 rule everywhere. But as I’m not here to lecture anyone I will stop here. I just love to wear black and jeans (80%) and something trendy (20%). So far a mathematical explanation of this outfit. If my math teacher explained it like this I probably would have paid more attention…..   | Jacket ZARA | Top ASOS | Jeans ZARA | Heels TOPSHOP | Bag CHANEL |

FLARE

I know men (mine included) don’t always understand the fashion choices we make but the flared jeans always seems to be the most criticized one. It al started this summer when the skinny jeans got some serious competition of the culotte and now followed by the flare. Personally I think men just naturally have an aversion for anything wide or concealing. Luckily I’ve been the type to worry about that, if you don’t like what you see just look the other way, at least for now ;)   | Blouse ZARA | Jacket H&M | Jeans ZARA | Bag MANGO | Hat ZARA | Heels TOPSHOP |

RUE DE CAMPAGNE

Last week is was time again for a little getaway to give my body and mind some well deserved rest. So all packed we left home for a few days on the countryside of France, followed by a few days in Paris. This year the weather was very cooperative so I packed a couple of very easy to wear dresses. And what better to pack than lots of stripes. I love stripes so much that I could literaly live in them every day, and in this cute village as well. In the morning we went out for fresh croissants and a baguette, very French off course. I decided to wear all of my favorite French stuff together, so it was stripes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and strappy sandals in the mix. I felt like a fish in the sea. | Dress TOPSHOP | Heels ZARA | Bag LOUIS VUITTON | Sunnies PRADA | Scarf Vintage CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

URBAN CAMOUFLAGE

Black is like urban camouflage for me, I can wear it any time any where. Exactly why  this pair of jeans is my current favorite. Only one minor detail, I’m afraid me and this jeans won’t make it till the end of the month. My belly is really getting in the way of this love affair, all the more reasons to wear it as much as possible these days. This time combined with a boy fit t-shirt that will stay with me till the end and some of my favorite black accessories. . | T-shirt ASOS | Jeans TOPSHOP | Heels &OTHERSTORIES | Bag & Sunnies CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

THE ART OF DRESSING

The art of dressing is a craftsmanship that I have been trying to master since I started experimenting with clothes in my early teens. The last two or tree years I was finally getting the feeling that I was getting pretty close to my ideal wardrobe. And I have to admit, internet and this fashion blog really helped me along the way. Taking inspiration from others, testing it and then seeing it back on screen really gave me a idea of what is working for me and what definitely is not (pictures don’t lie I learnt). I got to know my body and personality really well and felt like my perfect wardrobe was for 90 % clear. Well, I can tell you now, that this pregnancy really trough me back to base. Suddenly the rules of the games have changed and all I can do is try to adapt. Not an easy task but up until now I feel like I can manage it. Maybe all those years of experimenting were good for something after all.   | Jacket, Dress and Heels all ZARA | Clutch TOPSHOP | Sunnies PRADA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

EN VOGUE

I’m a big sucker for Vogue t-shirts, you know, the ones you get for free when you buy a copy (see me wearing them here, here and here). I was even feeling as happy as a child last year when I visiting the city of lights and I got my hands on a Vogue Paris t-shirt. I think the salesman never seen anybody that excited while picking up a September copy of Vogue haha. Anyway, the counter is at 3 right now and I hope my collection keeps on growing. My only advice is not to wash (or wear) them to often or to tumble dry them, sadly free t-shirts never respond well to that.   | Jacket H&M | T-shirt VOGUE NL | Jeans TOPSHOP | Bag and Sunnies CHANEL | Heels ZARA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

SNEAKERS

This dress was the first piece of maternity wear I bought. Traditional maternity wear never excited me but thanks to Topshop and Asos that problem is fully covered. I love how their collections are mostly inspired by young and trendy women, something I can relate to. I also immediately bought myself a pair super comfy sneakers, the original Nike air max that I also owned about twenty years ago (and yes, that makes me feel really old). Ever since I became a heels-only girl I totally forgot how comfortable they can be. And now that I’m sort of forced to wear them I really love all this comfortable stuff and I get the feeling I’m not going to give it up any more.   | Dress TOPSHOP | Sneakers NIKE | Bag MANGO | Sunnies PRADA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

SHEER

Now I was always a big fan of maxidresses for summer but this year I think my collection is going to double. Lately I feel super comfortable wearing them and they also compliment my bump. This sheer one is perfect for layering. Wearing a jeans underneath makes wearing a maxi even more comfortable and cool.   | Maxidress ZARA | Jeans TOPSHOP | Bag VINTAGE | Sunnies PRADA | Bracelet CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

ALL THE CLASSICS

I’ve talked about many times before, but as I get older I tend to go more and more for classic wardrobe pieces. Today it seams like I’ve put them all together. A classic jeans jacket, check. A striped tee/sweater or dress in this case, check. Strappy sandals (nude or black) check. A classic Chanel bag, double check! Well a men’s inspired watch also always does the trick when it comes to classic jewelry. Love how you can’t go wrong with staples like these. | Jacket Only Jeans | Dress TOPSHOP | Heels ZARA | Bag CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

THE SUITCASE DIARIES

In about four weeks I’m leaving for an early summer get a way to the beautiful island of Curaçao. You can only imagine how excited I am and that’s exactly why I have started a sort of a countdown. From this week on I’m on the hunt for the perfect islands wardrobe. I’m will be digging out my closet, take notes from previous holiday pictures, shopping and flipping trough magazines to gather the perfect holiday wardrobe. One thing that I’m already sure about is that I’m sticking to my color palette packing like I did last year when we visited Santorini. A palette of whites, black, blue and turquoise is all that will be allowed in my suitcase. This makes it so much more easier to make new combination on the spot when I don’t have my whole closet to my disposal. These gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana Belucci slingbacks definitely earned their spot in my suitcase last year so they will for certain join me this year. The white skirt is also a good option and a sweater to keep me warm at night or on the plane never fails to. Let the suitcase diaries start! | Sweater ZARA | Skirt […]

THE BLACK BLAZER

Ever in search of the perfect black blazer I stumbled upon this one at Zara. Almost matching all off my requirements and helped by the fact that my old one really needs a stand in every now and then, I decided to purchase this one. Only missing a button and matching hole at the front closure, which is something that can be fixed, if I ever wanted to. Worn with a white t-shirt and black skinny’s always a winner. | Blazer ZARA | Tshirt ZARA | Pants TOPSHOP | Heels H&M | Clutch HEMA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

RELAX MODE

As from last weekend I’m officially in a relax mode, besides being onter the weather a short holiday is the reason for my short absence. While we speak I’m in the middel of my vacation,  a week of snow and fun with my family in Austria, at our home away from home. The ultimate time to relax and do everything (or absolutely nothing when you want to) that comes to mind. Besides some more fashionable clothes I also packed plenty of relaxed outfits. This Kate Moss for Topshop dress is still one of my favorites. At home when I’m relaxing or dressed up with heels ans some accessories, it’s the perfect transformable comfort gear. This dress is also one of the reasons why I’m so excited that Kate Moss is designing a new collection for Topshop, we have to wait until April but I’m definitely sure the wait will be worth the while.   | Dress Kate Moss for Topshop | Headband &OtherStories | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

BARGAIN

Last week I scored this super cool sweater at the Zara Sale. Never shaw this sweater before, not in store or online, but that’s just what’s so cool about Zara. Just one of those gems you sometimes walk in to. And at one fifth of it’s original price, which is nearly nothing at Zara, I had to take it home with me. Maybe it’s a little bit over the top but paired down with jeans it’s balances perfectly well.   | Sweater ZARA | Jeans ZARA | Heels TOPSHOP | Bag Vintage Kelly | Accessories CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

NEW BEGINNINGS

Looks like 2014 is really going to be an amazing year. The weather has never been so soft and I’m really enjoying it. I also really love cold and snow but only for a week or two. These days I can still wear my heels without socks and I do not have to hide myself under ten layers of clothes. And with the sun also shining the start of the year couldn’t be better. First on my agenda for this year, stylewise, was this scarf as a shoulderstrap thing. I saw it in a magazine not to long ago (also posted it on my Instagram) and it immediately inspired me to do this with my own vintage Kelly look-a-like. I think it looks really smart and creative, and not only is it very cool it’s also very practical. . | Sweater ZARA | Shirt ZARA | Jeans ONLY | Heels TOPSHOP | Bag Vintage with CHANEL Scarf | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

HIS

There are a few items that I love to borrow from my boyfriends closet. One of them is this white shirt, slightly oversized for me but oh so cool and comfortable to wear to wear. I also love to borrow his scarf, I’m wearing it right now, and off course his sweaters. And should I not forget the boyfriend jeans, also one piece I was borrowing long before they became a style of there own. Borrowing from the boys is just timeless, especially when you make it your own.   | Sweater COS | Men’s shirt ZARA Men | Jeans TOPSHOP | Bag CHANEL | Heels ZARA | Scarf COS | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

LONG NIGHTS

My last outfit photo’s from Santorini, crazy how times flies when you’re having fun. Anyway, I always love to wear maxi dresses when I’m on a summer holiday. They are perfect for long summer nights because they are so easy to wear. Dressed up or dressed down, either way you look instant glamorous. This one was designed by Kate Moss for Topshop a few years back and has been my favorite maxi ever since. Proving once again that stripes are never out of style.   | Dress TOPSHOP | Heels ZARA | Clutch H&M | Bracelet H&M | Ring YSL | Sunnies CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

THE SHIRTDRESS

When I think of a white shirt, I think of long summer days and the ideal dress to wear from day till night. This dress doesn’t need much, a little belt and heels are enough to make it suitable for  long summer nights while a pair of slippers make it more suitable for hot summer days. I also love to wear it as a beach cover up, to get some poolbar refreshments or from the beach to the hotel. Even when my skin got to much sun this piece comes in very handy and keeps my skin stylishly protected. In short, the perfect dress for any sunny holiday.   | Shirt dress TOPSHOP | Heels MIU MIU | Belt Vintage | Sunnies Chanel | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

WHITE COLLAR

When the sales hit the stores in summer I always find myself less interesed in the summer items and more interested in the new winter items. All the more reasons why I purchased this black dress that’s also on my wishlist for the upcoming winter. You can never have to many black dresses, right. Now I still enjoying wearing my dresses without tights but I cal already see myself wearing this dress with black tights and a leather jacket. Luckily that’s still a lot of sunny days away, so I’m going to forese myself  to enjoy it while I still can.   | Dress Asos | Heels Topshop | Bag No label | Sunnies H&M | Watch Michael Kors | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

Because Yves Saint Laurent is the inventor of Le Smoking I teamed my Yves t-shirt with my modern view on his creation, with this combination you can never go wrong. SHEER DETAIL

Off course I did some shopping in Paris, this time no designer wear but only two pieces from my highstreet favorite Zara, because you can’t buy that anywhere but in Paris right, haha. Anyway, the first score I brought back with me is this white  sweater with sheer panels at the shoulder. Seems like white sweaters are becoming a must have for me this summer because this isn’t the first one as you know (see here and here). I think I love them because they are so versatile and easy to wear. Weather it’s on an jeans or a skirt, it’s got that summer feeling.   | Sweater Zara | Jeans Only | Heels Topshop | Necklace Zara | Clutch from Market | Ring YSL, Asos | Watch Michael Kors | Sunnies Mango | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |
