ALL IN TWO

For me Christmas is all about old and new traditions. Old traditions like dressing up and having dinner with my family and friends and new traditions in the making. As a mama I love to start new traditions, that hopefully Chloé will remember and maybe continue once she gets older. One of the new traditions we are starting this year is adopting the typical American way of spending Christmas morning opening up presents underneath the Christmas tree. And off course we do it in style. No old pyjama‘s or washed out lounge-wear for us, but brand new, all black, easy going lounge-wear. For me it’s a comfortable 2 piece from Zara and for Chloé a cool onesie from H&M. Because creating a tradition is one thing but looking good while doing so is just as important to me, especially when pictures are being taken. Can’t wait to look back in about 10 years from now. Then, I want to wish you all a fabulous Christmas with all of your loved ones and all of your favorite traditions. Hopefully you will also enjoy some great memories and traditions in the making.   xo Hanneke     Me | Sweater and pants […]

THE ONE THING

The one thing that I can absolutely not live without (wardrobe wise) is a black dress. And this one in particular. Over the past twelve years that I have this special one in my possession it has proven it self over and over again. And even now, half way my pregnancy, I still can’t live without it. The funny thing is, I bought it on sale, back then from a unknown designer to me. Well, she not so unknown anymore. I’m talking a real Isabel Marant here. I must confess I really was in doubt when I bought it, even on sale it didn’t come cheap, but I’m still very happy I did. This dress also stands for all the things she still stands for now. Timeless, well-made classics. Proven once again that some things are worth investing in. . | Dress ISABEL MARANT | Flats BODEN | Bag LOUIS VUITTON Neverfull | Sunnies PRADA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

A TRAVEL CLASSIC

One day in the past year I came to realize that I was in desperate need of a large travel bag. Always putting my handbags to the test when traveling. Imagine my Prada tote overflowing with stuff when I leave for any kind of destination, almost to point of total destruction. Well, a worn out Prada tote was never my style so after the last time I promised myself never to do this again and get my self a descent travel bag. So after some doing my research, which for me is about 50% of the total fun when buying a new investment, I came to the conclusion that all the real travel experts travel with a set of Louis Vuitton for decades now. Well a whole travel set of Louis Vuitton is definitely on my list, the list called Want!!! but definitely not going to happen any time soon!, but he you got to start somewhere. So I thought this Neverfull was going the be the perfect starting point and I can perfectly test it in about two weeks when I leave for a well deserved holiday to the Caribbean. So Neverfull, well, I don’t know if that true […]

AT HOME

Yes, sure, the upcoming holiday’s are all about dressing up for me but what I almost never show is that I’m also a big fan of home and sportswear. When I come home I always immediately take off all my jewelry, wrap my hair in a bun and dress down. This usually means I’m wearing one of my many sweatpants and comfy sweaters. Off course, as the fashion girl I am, I always make sure I still look presentable. Washed out, sloppy or old pants and sweater are a absolute no go. So as a result I’m always on the hunt for the perfect suit. The last couple of years I have gathered a few favorite brands, my go to brands are DAZ (also great for sportswear), Rituals (love everything this brand makes) and off course my ever favorite H&M. But back to the holiday’s. The minute I spotted this blue suit at my (yawn) other ever favorite store (yep Zara)( you can yawn again if you please) I immediately saw my self wearing it at Christmas. Not all day of course and only at home. I saw myself being all comfortable yet stylish unwrapping all my gifts under the […]

PARTYDRESSING

When it comes to party dressing or dressing for special occasions I love to shop at Karen Millen. This English glam brand always has it right when it comes to affordable but high quality pieces. From classic LBD’s to showstoppers, they have it all.  Like this dress that immediately caught my eye while browsing through the online boutique. It’s short but combined with the high neckline still demure. The carefully placed inserts gives it a very shaped and figure consistent fit. Teamed with a pair of over knees boots or with black tights and heels, you will not leave the party unseen.   | Dress Karen Millen | Boots ZARA | Clutch ZARA | Sunnies CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |TUMBLR |

THIS SUMMER FAVORITES

Each summer I have a couple of beauty and accessory favorites, some will only survive one summer and others come back each year. These are the ones that made the cut this year. My latest beauty crush, off course from Chanel, is Les Beiges. For that perfect summer glow and matte finish. And the best part is you can use it all year long. | Chanel Les Beiges N* 30 |   My favorite sandals from last year are still on top of my list this year. You probably already noticed that I usually prefer heels over flats but when I do wear flats they have to be stylish. These multi colored glitter sandals match almost any outfit and therefor are perfect for any summer day. | Glitter sandals (from last year)  Topshop |   The latest addition to my sunny collection. NEW IN: SPRING COLORS

Last Saturday, on a shopping spree with my sister, I scored some new stuff in fresh yellow and white combined with my favorite winter color black. Yellow, now amongst my favorite colors [I’ll tell you how it became my color later this week] is a big hit for spring so I think this will be my pop of color for the new season to come. It also combines perfectly with black and white, another big hit this spring/summer. And to top it all off, it all fits perfectly with the beaded heels I bought online at Zara. I already can imagine all the combination I can make with these items, now all I have to is wait for the weather to warm up.   | Black and white sweater H&M | Yellow angora sweater H&M | White trouser Zara | Heels Zara | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |
