| Hanneke Verstegen X HipDesign |

JOIN THE CLUB

The first time I spotted this jacket it immediately made me think of the Pink Ladies from Grease. So if I ever wanted to start my own Girl Squat this jacket might as well be our uniform. Because if you’re a part of our squat you A; love black and B; love shoes. So if you feel the same join me 😉   | Jacket NIKKIE | Sweater ZARA | Pants H&M | Heels ZARA | Clutch H&M |

SHADES OF GOLD

So then it’s already time to write the last post of this year. I just can’t believe that this year is almost over, so yes, time does fly when you’re having fun. The past year was nothing but great for me, being a mama was on my wishlist for a very long time and it has been such a blessing to be one for a whole year arround. Nothing has ever felt quite like this before, not even my first Chanel purchase can match this if you know what I mean. And the best part of all is that I finally feel like I’m in control. A year ago I never imagined myself balancing it all, a family, a career, a blog and a social life. It all seemed just to much and I decided for the first part to just focus myself on the important things in life, my family and my own wel beiing. But, once I got the hang of it and I was feeling more in control and at ease with my life something really started to itch. Like so many times in life, you don’t know what you’ve got untill it’s gone. I realized that […]

THE NEW SKINNY

When I’m not wearing a skinny jeans I’m usually wearing some sort of black skinny trousers and the leather version (real or fake) is by far my favorite. Easy to combine with almost everything, dressed up or dressed down, this garment will do the trick. Even now when the weather is turning for the better I can not live without this style anymore. | Jacket ZARA | Pants H&M | Top ZARA | Heels KURT GEIGER | Bag ZARA | | Sunglasses CHANEL | Bracelets KENNETH JAY LANE | .

THE LONGEST

Looks like an old friend of mine is back and he’s here to stay for good. You either love him or hate him but from now on there no way arround it annymore. So take a stand and stick to it, no need to tell you which camp I choose. I know it’s not the most easy style to wear since they don’t fit every body type very easily. But if you find the perfect one than they will serve you well. A good pair will make your legs go on for miles and slims your waist to its very best point. Mine is always high waisted and super long so I can wear them with my highest heels. If you weren’t a fan already maybe you are now. . | Jacket ZARA | Top COS | Jeans MANGO | Bag + broche CHANEL | Necklace PIECES | | Heels FENDI | Ring YSL | Sunglasses PRADA | | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

MATERNITY STYLE

Almost six months later than planned I’m finally posting this video. I originally planned to publish this video on my due date but one self-willed little girl decided to enter our world one day earlier. So off course I forgot all about it (and my blog) when I landed on cloud nine, were I’m still at and intend to stay forever. So here are all of my favorite maternity looks thown together in one video, I hope you like it as much as I do. Sure brings back a lot of good memories for me. Last but not least I like to welkom all of you new readers to my blog, I hope you like it! And all of you who have been here before, thank you for returning and sticking with me while I was gone. Hope you continue to come back and be inspired as you inspire me to keep posting. xo H   | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

FLOURISHING

With 36 weeks and counting I can now definitely say that maternity wear is not my cup of tea. I have tried and tested a couple of maternity jeans, t-shirts and tops and non of them are to my liking. I try to avoid them as much as I can, guess it’s just not for me. The only items that I have not regret buying are all dresses. Now they are comfortable without any concessions. Like this folk floral printed one from Asos Maternity. It’s my current favorite dress to wear, mainly because it’s just a “normal” dress with some extra space at the waistline, and sometimes that’s just all it takes. By the way, this dress is also available in a “normal” size  for all you non pregnant. Now that’s why I love Asos! . | Dress ASOS | Fake Fur stola H&M | Heels ZARA | Bag CHANEL | Sunnies PRADA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

EN VOGUE

I’m a big sucker for Vogue t-shirts, you know, the ones you get for free when you buy a copy (see me wearing them here, here and here). I was even feeling as happy as a child last year when I visiting the city of lights and I got my hands on a Vogue Paris t-shirt. I think the salesman never seen anybody that excited while picking up a September copy of Vogue haha. Anyway, the counter is at 3 right now and I hope my collection keeps on growing. My only advice is not to wash (or wear) them to often or to tumble dry them, sadly free t-shirts never respond well to that.   | Jacket H&M | T-shirt VOGUE NL | Jeans TOPSHOP | Bag and Sunnies CHANEL | Heels ZARA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

SEQUIN SHORTS

Lately I find a lot of things that are both comfortable and stylish at the same time. Little things, like an elastic waist, can make a big difference. And can also be a the reason to buy something or not (will it still fit me in a month is a question I ask myself all the time) . Well, hopefully, this short will. I love the combination of sportswear and eveningwear, it makes pieces like this so much more wearable during daytime. And during pregnancy off course.   | Jacket ZARA | Top ZARA | Shorts H&M | Heels ZARA | Clutch ZARA | Sunnies CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

SHEER

Now I was always a big fan of maxidresses for summer but this year I think my collection is going to double. Lately I feel super comfortable wearing them and they also compliment my bump. This sheer one is perfect for layering. Wearing a jeans underneath makes wearing a maxi even more comfortable and cool.   | Maxidress ZARA | Jeans TOPSHOP | Bag VINTAGE | Sunnies PRADA | Bracelet CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

OH SO BLUE

These pants and booties were by far the most worn items that I wore last week when strolling the streets of Gaschurn. When the temperatures drop being comfortable get more and more important for me and these 2 are just all that, comfortable without giving up on style. And although I wore them with pleasure I’m also very happy that I didn’t get to wear them any more since I got back home. Even though I really love winter and I love an all snowy landscape I’m so glad to be back home were spring is already up on us and I can easily were my favorite heels without slipping. | Sweater ZARA Men | Fur stola H&M Trend | Pants H&M | Booties BUFFALO | Sunnies CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

POINT OF VIEW

Is it weird to wear open toe or sandals in February? From my point of view not but some consider it not done. Aren’t you cold or don’t you have cold feet is a question a get a lot. Usually I’m not and when I am I do wear boots or socks. Even tough I think there’s still a huge difference between wearing sandals or pumps. Whenever shoes are closed I have less problem wearing them in February then a open toe or sandals. This year is different though, these days temperatures are rising till 15 degrees, pretty comfortable if you ask me. Although I usually draw the line at 20 degrees this year I could wait any longer. I just love to wear sandals, not for comfort but just because I love the look. The things we do for fashion, right.   | Jacket H&M | Baggy leather pants ZARA | heels ZARA | Scarf Vintage CHANEL | Clutch H&M | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

I GOT IT COVERED

Wearing double jackets is the way to go these days. It’s perfect for this strange winter/fall weather we have to endure this February. Kinda crazy thinking that this time last year the weather was all snow and freezing temperatures. Luckily the weather gods decided to be kind this year, almost just a kind as the fashion gods. They were for sure on my side when I scored my latest shoe obsession, these furry Fendi’s. I love how they perfectly balance this look, from ripped jeans to dressy coat, all glued together like it was meant to be. | Jacket ZARA | Blazer H&M | Sweater ZARA | Jeans ZARA | Heels FENDI | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

WAISTED

When I stumbled up on these light grey heels I immediately fell for them. This pointy shoe with it’s soft grey color is  perfect for when I want to give my black heels a rest. And if they manage to survive the winter they will also match perfectly to my spring and summer wardrobe. For now, the weather is still warm enough to wear them bare footed. Perfect with this high waisted pants that I also couldn’t resist. Combined with a simple black top, my BFF (best fake fur haha) and a cute embellished bag I’m feeling all Marlene Dietrich. | Fur Stola H&M | Top COS | Trousers ZARA | Heels ZARA | Bag ASOS | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

CAMEL

This weekend I tought is was time to digg out all my winter coats. One of my favorites ever is this camel number that I bought a few years back. A camel coat is such a big classic and that’s why it’s so easy to wear I find. Still dreaming of one day owning a real Max Mara I still treasure this one. What I also treasure are these booties, they match perfectly to al my favorite outfits. | Coat ZARA | Shirt ZARA | Jeans ONLY | Booties ZARA | Bag VINTAGE | Sunnies H&M | Necklace PIECES | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

PARDON MOI

The last time I wore this gorgeous dress I was enjoying a heavenly summer holiday on sunny Santorini, Greece. Sadly all good things must come to an end, and now I find myself batteling the auttumn weather. But that doesn’t stop me from reworking some of my summer favorites. And now what better way to rework a summer maxi dress (click HERE to see my summer look) than to just add a fun sweater. This season it functions more like an maxi skirt, easy to combine with all kinds of tops and jackets. This way a sleeveless dress will last all year round. | Dress ZARA TRF | Sweater ASOS | Jacket ZARA | Heels ZARA | Sunnies CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |TUMBLR |

OUT OF THE BLUE

Last Saturday we attended the official opening of a new concept store Out of the Blue. The store is located at the most inspiring area’s of The Netherlands, Strijp S. This former industrial area is slowly being transformed into the perfect place to work, live, shop and meet friends for drinks or dinner. The environment is so different from our little historic city that this was the perfect place to make some outfit photo’s. Although Saturday was a pretty good day concerning the weather, it’s still getting colder every day. To make the adjustment a little bit easy I bought myself another winter coat. And yes, this one is also blue again and I’m already very happy with it. It may be blue also, is so very different from the other one. I really love the 3/4 sleeves, the boyish fit, the hairy wool.  I’m feeling many more blue and black combination are ready to made. . | Jacket H&M | Dress ZARA | Heels ZARA | Clutch ZARA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |TUMBLR |

CASHMERE

Last week I bought this gorgeous cashmere sweater online at the outnet.com. Now I’m Always a bit anxious to buy anything this delicate but somehow this time I couldn’t care less. This sweater is so me, not only are blue and yellow my favorite colors as you know, the shape is also  just perfect. I wear this type of sweater all year round and combine them with everything from shorts to jeans to skirts. I also fell for the funny detail of the contrast sleeves, just gives that bit of extra that I always want when buying something not so cheap. For me, this sweater just simply has it all. . | Sweater Iris & Ink | Skirt ZARA | Clutch H&M | Heels ZARA | Sunnies H&M | Ring YSL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |TUMBLR |

PYRAMID

Last week I spotted this black and white pyramid dress on one of my favorite bloggers of late, The Gary Pepper Girl. It looked kinda of expensive but when I saw the link to one of my favorite sites, Asos, I got really exited and immediately ordered one. A few days later it already landed at my doorstep and this weekend I took it for a spin. IT WAS CALLED YELLOW

A couple of weeks ago I already shared some photo’s on Instagram (you can follow me @hannekeverstegn) of s shoot I was doing that day. For some reason I haven’t shared the finalized photo’s with you. Until now. This shoot was all about hair and make-up so it had to be something different, experimental, not your every day style. Initially I was only asked to do the styling but later on I also ended up as a model. After we discussed the hair and make-up I really got inspired by the Oriental style as you can see. But to keep the focus on the hair and make-up I choose this really plain yellow dress from ZARA. By adding the Kimono we achieved the Oriental ethos which really complements the hair & make-up. Anyway, I love to experiment with clothes but also with hair and make-up. That’s what I always envy about models and actresses, that they are transformed into a total different person by only changing your hair, clothes and make-up. And off course to have the photo’s as a keepsake. I love that I was a part of something like that for once and luckily I got the photo’s to prove it.   […]

GIRLS

Last week, when we filmed the first episode of my new Fashion Trends show for our local station (in case you missed it, watch it HERE) we also shot some outfit photo’s. Since my girl Frederique was with me all day to help me out with the show, which she also modeled for, I thought she should join in on this outfit shoot. We always have the best of fun and although we have a different style we love to shop together and also tend to buy the same things. I guess our love for ZARA and designers also has something to do with it. My fashion partner in crime is what I call her, like my mother and big sister she’s one of the woman in my life who has a influence on my style. And even when it has nothing to do with fashion I can count on her, now thats what friends are for. | Frederique was wearing: Top by Malene Birger | Short ZARA | Scarf Etro | Bag Etro | Sandals ZARA | Sunglasses  Paul Smith | I was wearing: T-shirt H&M | Skirt Warehouse | Heels ZARA | Bag Chanel | Sunglasses Mango | Necklace […]
