MENSROOM

I make no secret of my love for men’s clothes, especially those from my own boyfriend, and this dotted shirt is just one of my latest discoveries. I already had my eye on it when it was still in store so I bought it so we could both wear it. Luckily my men isn’t into skirts so we are both wearing it different ways, nobody will notice we’re wearing the exact same shirt. Love is, sharing clothes.   | Shirt ZARA MEN | Skirt ZARA | Heels ZARA | Clutch MANGO | Sunnies PRADA |

CITY SAFARI

I love to try new combinations and new stuff, trying to make them my own and blend in to my wardrobe. But this time trying something new does not involve new stuff. I simply combined two pieces that I had never worn together before. Funny, because both the jacket and the pants are among the most worn pieces in my wardrobe. Together they make a whole new statement, like I’m on some kind of city safari or something. Anyway, I really like the feeling of this combination that much that it got me thinking of buying a utility jumpsuit. I’m really going for green this summer. | Jacket H&M | Trousers RIVER ISLAND | Broche CHANEL | Heels ZARA | | Sunglasses PRADA | Bag PAUL’S BOUTIQUE |

CAPETOWN

If you are going to invest in just 1 thing this coming season then let it be a cape. Pregnant or not, this is the most practical cover-up ever. Not to mention so stylish and instand chic. It’s like the Parisienne of cover-ups, it’s got that Je ne say qua” written all over it. I scored mine already 2 winters ago and still I love to wear it as much as I can. These sunny days in fall with only a sweater under neath and in winter time combined with a leather jacket for extra warmth. Whenever you find the perfect one, don’t hasitate but grap it while you still can! . | Cape ZARA | Sweater COS | Leggings H&M | Shoes MANGO | Shopper Louis Vuitton | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR | .

BLUE BLACK

This season being comfortable and stylish can be so easy. I just love al the sportswear inspired clothing that is in stores now. Off course it’s all about how you wear it, dressed up or dressed down. I’m wearing my trackpants with heels and a pinstripe coat when I want to be dressed up. When I want to be more dressed down I combine them with my new Kenzo sneakers and a simple sweater. Both perfect options for the upcoming winter season. . | Coat MANGO | Top H&M | Pants ZARA | Heels ALEXANDER WANG | Bag and Sunnies CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR | .

BLACKSTREET

The past few weeks have been like an extensive part of summer, the perfect opportunity to wear my favorite winter pieces in a different way than I would in actual winter time. While following the latest fashion trends for the upcoming season I noticed that the seventies are still a popular eara among my favorite designers. Well, and what’s more seventies than miniskirts and overknee boots. I love them in all black, giving them some extra edge and giving them a real modern feel. I mostly wear them with some other classics, like my boyfriends v-neck sweater and my new favorite bag from Diane Von Furstenberg. This bag has the perfect size to fit all of my daily needs combined with the perfect look to brighten up my all black looks. For sure a combination that I will wear all lot this coming winter. . | Sweater ZARA Men | Skirt MANGO | Boots NELLY | Bag DVF | Sunnies PRADA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR | .

LE PARISIEN

So last week I was back in my much beloved city; Paris. The kick start of a short holiday before our baby girl arrives, these days also know as a babymoon haha (love that term) . Off course I had planned a short shopping spree but due to our late arrival (traffic jams) and an early meeting with friends I was forced to keep it even shorter. In preparation of my new life I was looking for a new pair of sneakers, I had my eye on 2 pairs after our last visit to Paris back in June, a pair form the Nike Style Lab and a pair I saw at Kenzo. Well, you can guess which pair I got now. For the occasion I was wearing on of my favorite dresses of late, another striped number that I also found at Zara. Although again it’s not officially maternity wear it still fits me perfectly. Combined with a pair of flats and my favorite accessories it still makes me feel ladylike in a time when comfort is key. . | Dress ZARA | Flats BODEN | Bag CHANEL | Sunnies PRADA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

CLEAN SLATE

So after wearing black and only black these past few weeks I was so ready to make a clean slate. And what better way to break a habit by doing the exact opposite. So an all white outfit it is. Besides black, white is my favorite color these days, I know it will never bore me. August is also always the month when I start with a clean slate wardrobe wise. I stop buying summer clothes and dive right into the new season. And this year I’m more excited then ever before. Planning my wardrobe beyond my pregnancy is something that really keeps me going (fashion wise) right now. Not that I don’t enjoy the physical state my body is in right now because I really love it, but let’s just say getting dressed is a lot easier  when your carrying around a baby belly. My first purchase are these super comfortable hairy sneakers. Perfect to wear now with bare legs and later on with pants or tights. They will be the base for my wardrobe this winter. A kick-off for my new style that will match my new lifestyle. Never thought that I would become someone that puts comfort […]

BACK TO BLACK

And again I’m wearing a black dress in Paris. The first thing that I always pack, no matter what my travel destination is. Only by now I’m starting to feel like it’s all I’m wearing these days. Maybe I can better start a new blog that only futures black dresses because if I could I would wear one every day. I really love them but sometimes it makes me feel a little helpless. Like I can’t come up with anything else to wear, even when I have plenty of other stuff. But  it’s just the one garment I feel most comfortable in these days. So now my next mission is to find a look that makes me feel just a comfortable as this one does because I don’t want to wear the same look over and over again till the end of October. Time to do some serious shopping, and no black dresses aloud. . | Dress COS | Flats DOLCE&GABBANA | Bag, Sunnies & Scarf All CHANEL  | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

RUE DE CAMPAGNE

Last week is was time again for a little getaway to give my body and mind some well deserved rest. So all packed we left home for a few days on the countryside of France, followed by a few days in Paris. This year the weather was very cooperative so I packed a couple of very easy to wear dresses. And what better to pack than lots of stripes. I love stripes so much that I could literaly live in them every day, and in this cute village as well. In the morning we went out for fresh croissants and a baguette, very French off course. I decided to wear all of my favorite French stuff together, so it was stripes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and strappy sandals in the mix. I felt like a fish in the sea. | Dress TOPSHOP | Heels ZARA | Bag LOUIS VUITTON | Sunnies PRADA | Scarf Vintage CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

MOMFRIEND

About a year ago I bought this pair of boyfriend jeans. In just a matter of time they became my favorite pair, wearing at least twice every week. I really loved  them because of the baggy fit, the perfect wash and the distressed parts that give a nice edge to all of my outfits. And now I’m still wearing them on a regular base, not only are they about the only pair that still fits me, they are still major comfortable. Ok, the are not so baggy any more, in fact, more of a tight fit now but they fit my body perfectly. These days I like to call them my momfriend instead of boyfriend. Hopefully one day they will transform back again. . | Blouse ZARA Men | Jeans ZARA | Heels DOLCE&GABBANA | Scarf CHANEL | Clutch HEMA | Sunnies PRADA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

STRIPED

I know, it’s starting to look like an obsession but I just can’t stop buying stripes. I simply love anything striped, weater it’s a sweater, a pair of shoes or a dress, I own at least one pair and I love it. Exactly the reason that I bought this dress. It’s got summer written all over it and because of the comfortable streching fabric I will be able to wear it for a long period of time. | Jacket H&M | Dress ZARA | Clutch LOUIS VUITTON | Heels ZARA | Sunnies PRADA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

THE ART OF DRESSING

The art of dressing is a craftsmanship that I have been trying to master since I started experimenting with clothes in my early teens. The last two or tree years I was finally getting the feeling that I was getting pretty close to my ideal wardrobe. And I have to admit, internet and this fashion blog really helped me along the way. Taking inspiration from others, testing it and then seeing it back on screen really gave me a idea of what is working for me and what definitely is not (pictures don’t lie I learnt). I got to know my body and personality really well and felt like my perfect wardrobe was for 90 % clear. Well, I can tell you now, that this pregnancy really trough me back to base. Suddenly the rules of the games have changed and all I can do is try to adapt. Not an easy task but up until now I feel like I can manage it. Maybe all those years of experimenting were good for something after all.   | Jacket, Dress and Heels all ZARA | Clutch TOPSHOP | Sunnies PRADA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

SEQUIN SHORTS

Lately I find a lot of things that are both comfortable and stylish at the same time. Little things, like an elastic waist, can make a big difference. And can also be a the reason to buy something or not (will it still fit me in a month is a question I ask myself all the time) . Well, hopefully, this short will. I love the combination of sportswear and eveningwear, it makes pieces like this so much more wearable during daytime. And during pregnancy off course.   | Jacket ZARA | Top ZARA | Shorts H&M | Heels ZARA | Clutch ZARA | Sunnies CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

SHORT STORY

From the moment I knew I was pregnant, and ok to be totally honest, from the moment I knew I wanted children I worried about how to dress while being the one  with a bump. Looking at traditional maternity wear and all magazines, shops and equally themed what-so-ever made me sad, really sad. Luckily the last couple of years this image has changed drastically and I’m determined to keep this trend going. Up until now, I’m almost half way, I still fit all of my own clothes so maintaining my own style is no problem so far. But I promised myself to stay as true to my own style as I possibly can, maybe I will not wear heels all day long anymore, I will keep wearing them when I can. And the same goes for short skirts,  fitted dresses and skinny jeans. I’m ready for the challenge. . | Shirt ZARA Men | Skirt ZARA | Bag CHANEL | Sunnies PRADA | Heels ZARA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST | TUMBLR |

ALL THE CLASSICS

I’ve talked about many times before, but as I get older I tend to go more and more for classic wardrobe pieces. Today it seams like I’ve put them all together. A classic jeans jacket, check. A striped tee/sweater or dress in this case, check. Strappy sandals (nude or black) check. A classic Chanel bag, double check! Well a men’s inspired watch also always does the trick when it comes to classic jewelry. B&W SPOTTED

White jeans never fail, style wise, but the only problem I always have is that they get dirty so damn easily. Well, I think I found the cure for that with these spotted jeans. Off course the do get dirty but it doesn’t show so quickly. And combined with black you can never go wrong. Already my favorite pants of the summer. THE SUMMER OF FLATS

One thing I am very sure about now is that this is the summer of flats. I have been buying more flats than heels lately and that says a lot about a avid heels wearer like myself. I, the one who sees flats as a necessity on days that I have to walk a lot or stand most of time (and sometimes I do wear heels on one of those accasions only to be very sorry later on, I guess you also know the feeling) is now wearing them with joy and really loving it. Off course it’s also great for a shoe lover like myself to have broaden my horizon, a lot more shoes that match my requirements now. PATCHES

As a denim designer and lover I’m always on the hunt for a new pair to add to my collection or to be inspired by. My latest score is this pair with patches from H&M. Somehow they always fit me perfectly and I love how they are always on top of the trends combined with a very affordable price. To create some balance I always combine pair of statement jeans like this with some modern classics like these simple strappy heels and a men’s shirt. And now that spring has officially arrived I wanted to wear my fur stola for one last time, I love how it brings just a bit of fun in all of my outfits. For now I hope I don’t need it anymore to keep me warm and that the sun will take over from here. THE BLACK BLAZER

Ever in search of the perfect black blazer I stumbled upon this one at Zara. Almost matching all off my requirements and helped by the fact that my old one really needs a stand in every now and then, I decided to purchase this one. Only missing a button and matching hole at the front closure, which is something that can be fixed, if I ever wanted to. Worn with a white t-shirt and black skinny’s always a winner. | Blazer ZARA | Tshirt ZARA | Pants TOPSHOP | Heels H&M | Clutch HEMA | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

BLUE SKIES

All good things come to end and so did my week off in the snow. On the last day there was nothing but blue skies and sunshine, such an gorgeous contrast with the white landscape. Just like this jacket is. This baby blue number is the perfect transseasonal piece. Warm enough for the cold mornings we are still have but in a shade that’s already a link to summer. POINT OF VIEW

Is it weird to wear open toe or sandals in February? From my point of view not but some consider it not done. Aren’t you cold or don’t you have cold feet is a question a get a lot. Usually I’m not and when I am I do wear boots or socks. Even tough I think there’s still a huge difference between wearing sandals or pumps. Whenever shoes are closed I have less problem wearing them in February then a open toe or sandals. This year is different though, these days temperatures are rising till 15 degrees, pretty comfortable if you ask me. Although I usually draw the line at 20 degrees this year I could wait any longer. I just love to wear sandals, not for comfort but just because I love the look. The things we do for fashion, right.   | Jacket H&M | Baggy leather pants ZARA | heels ZARA | Scarf Vintage CHANEL | Clutch H&M | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

EARLY SPRING

Looks like we having a major early spring this year. The temperatures are rising to a point it’s actually pleasant again to wear heels without socks. Not that that bothers me but it’s a nice side effect. An other side effect of spring is that I always feel the need to lighten up my hair and so that’s exactly what I did last Friday. Nothing feels like spring than some fresh light colors. Yesterday I matched my clothes to my new hair and went for an all soft color palette of camel, white and soft grey. Now spring definitely feels near.   | Camel Coat ZARA | Sweater ZARA | Jeans MANGO | Heels ZARA | Bag H&M | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

BLACK, BLUE & GOLD

Sometimes your’e so happy with a new purchase but later on you feel even more happy about it. Well that’s exactly the case with these boots. I loved them since they first arrived but now they have proven to be super comfortable and giving a luxury touch to any outfit. After not wearing  boots for a long time these ones surly made me loving boots again. This time I combined them with a A-line skirt, a cable sweater and the jacket I can’t do without. DOUBLE LEATHER

If you would ask me 2 years ago which era schould never return fashion wise I would have said the nineties, no doubt about that. But like all things in fashion, one day you will find yourself wearing it, (for some of us) again, and loving it, again. Off course, you take the best parts out and leave the rest were it belongs, on fashions graveyard. Some things have to grow on you and somethings you like immediately. Things that deffinitely had to grow (back) on me were slippers and sneakers but wearing a skirt over pants is something I immediately loved again. It’s perfect for winter, when you don’t want to wear thights and yet not freeze your legs off. It’s also adds some grunge to my looks, just what you need sometimes to spice things up a little bit. So what do you think, are you ready to wear your skirts over pants again? After my first attempt, which was succesfull in my eyes I went for this all leather look. By keeping it all black it’s about as much gurnge as it gets for me, for now. | Sweater ZARA | Skirt OASIS | Pants H&M | […]

I GOT IT COVERED

Wearing double jackets is the way to go these days. It’s perfect for this strange winter/fall weather we have to endure this February. Kinda crazy thinking that this time last year the weather was all snow and freezing temperatures. Luckily the weather gods decided to be kind this year, almost just a kind as the fashion gods. They were for sure on my side when I scored my latest shoe obsession, these furry Fendi’s. ALL THAT WANG

This Wang dress is one of the best purchases I did last year. Same for this jacket and heels form Zara, their both so comfortable that combine them with almost anything in my wardrobe, from dresses to jeans. Experiences like these made me realize that I should buy less and invest more. In the end, you can only spend your money once and you better spend it wise. WHITE LEATHER

Recently I discovered an old favorite of mine, this white leather jacket from Mango that I bought years ago. I don’t wear it very often but last week I realized I should wear it more. The size and fit are still perfect and the leather ages so beautiful. Also, white is on top of my list since last summer and will be again this coming summer. When I bought this jacket about ten years ago it was sort of an investment, pricewise, for me. Now its proof to me that buying investment pieces is really the best you can do for your wardrobe.   | Jacket Mango | Sweater COS | Jeans ZARA | Heels ZARA | Sunnies CHANEL | . | Follow me on FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | PINTEREST |

BARGAIN

Last week I scored this super cool sweater at the Zara Sale. Never shaw this sweater before, not in store or online, but that’s just what’s so cool about Zara. Just one of those gems you sometimes walk in to. And at one fifth of it’s original price, which is nearly nothing at Zara, I had to take it home with me.
